Abstract:The article reports on the helpful benefits of omega-3 fatty acids, fishes and vitamin D in the prevention of vision-robbing macular degeneration. Studies reveal that high intake of total dietary omega-3 fatty acid lessens the risk of age-related macular degeneration. Docosahexaenoic acid likewise produces the most protective results, while regular fish consumption reduces risks favorably. Moreover, people with high vitamin D level are also less likely to develop macular degeneration
