Abstract:The article provides comments on the study regarding laboratory tests that predict the response of patients with irritable bowel syndrome to diet. The author stated that gluten intolerance is the main etiological factor for patiets with irritable bowel syndrome. He said that a therapeutic trial of a gluten-free diet is the most reliable way to determine the beneficiaries of the test. He added that the most common symptom-evoking gluten grain is wheat.
