Abstract:The article discusses the therapeutic effect of botanical extracts like, lemon balm, in relieving stress and anxiety. Prescribed as a medicinal herb since the ancient Greek times, lemon balm has long been known to relieve anxiety, promote sleep and sooth agitation. A recent clinical trial showed the powerful stress-relieving benefits of lemon balm, wherein participants reported 49% reduction in their state of anxiety and 72% reduction in anxiety-associated symptoms and 39% decrease in insomnia.
