Abstract:The article discusses the diagnosis and treatment of autism. It explores that autism, known as severe disability, is on the rise in the U.S. and other industrialized countries with rates from two to five times what they were in 1990. It discusses the treatment options for the condition which are varied, as physicians strive to develop a standardized, results-oriented protocol.
