Abstract:The article focuses on the important role of thyroxin in the induction of oxidative stress. It is noted that oxidative stress arises when highly reactive free radicals produce oxidative damages to the macromolecular structures of the cell. Thyroid gland plays a central role in generating generalized oxidative stress in diseased condition.
