Abstract:The article provides information about premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and how it affects the brain. Premenstrual is a general term describing a wide range of symptoms including breast tenderness, abdominal bloating, weight gain and irritability. A patient who suffered PMS usually increase in severity up to the menses and then disappear for a week to ten days. The major categories of the syndrome are presented, as well as its symptoms.
