Tissue Regeneration Questions

I am happily re-reading Dr. Becker's book, "The Body Electric." In this book, he describes how the application of negative potential frequently will enhance healing in animal tissue. Then, we have seen great work in recent years in using microcurrent in to aid the mending of non-joining of human bone. Of course, acupuncture has been found to be very helpful with many conditions...including some which appear nonresponsive to orthodox medical treatment.

My question is: In the drive to enhance human tissue regeneration and healing, which would be the most salutary...application of two electrodes (microcurrent)..either superficially or with implanted electrodes....application of a positive potential (uncertain voltage, possibly pulsed), or acupuncture?

Are there studies which have compared the three?

I've looked up a few databases and to the best of my knowledge, there have not been studies that have compared the three methods head to head. There have been studies on each subject, though, but not one study with the same constants and variables that pit all three against one another.
