Can we believe nutrition labels?

I try and watch what I eat. I try to buy stuff that says USDA organic or something like that. I look at the nutrition facts. My question is: Can we believe the USDA organic labeled product and can we believe the nutrition facts on the back of every piece of product you find in the super market?

Or is it all just one big lie. Because if your really not watching the food getting made from start to finish how do we know what went into it and where it came from?

Even if the labels are correct, they leave out hundreds of food additives and contaminants that are not required to be on labels. I look at labels like red lights, they're a guideline and we shouldn't go by them entirely. Even the USDA organic label is not entirely organic when we examine the fine prints.
